The Trapezaki area, belongs to the municipality of Leivathos, located in the southwestern part of the island. This is one of the most touristic cities of Kefalonia due to its unique character. Beautiful beaches and villages built on the outskirts of Mount Ainos, compose an enchanting landscape.
Trapezaki, is a distinctive place for the region. It is located about 15 minutes away from Argostoli which is the capital of the island, and 3 minutes from the beach.
Trapezaki beach is an organised beach, with fine sand and crystal clear waters. Around, there are numerous cafes and taverns that can serve all guests’ needs. The beach has a great reputation due to having the highest sea temperature on the island.
Within a short distance from Trapezaki, there is the organised beach of Lourdas, with crystal clear waters, white pebbles and thick sand, while around the area there are other beaches such as Lianorogia and Lefka, however they are accessible only by boat. These beaches are chosen by the caretta-caretta turtle to nest.
